Description: A "social” skills group for 7-10 year olds" is a structured program designed to help children in this age range develop essential social interaction skills like active listening, cooperation, sharing, respecting personal space, managing emotions, and resolving conflicts effectively, all within a supportive group setting, allowing them to practice these skills with peers and learn strategies for building positive relationships. 
Key aspects of a social skills group for 7-10 year olds include:   
Focus on core social skills:
Learning how to initiate conversations, take turns speaking, maintain eye contact, express needs clearly, and respond appropriately to others' feelings. 
Positive reinforcement:
Providing praise and encouragement for positive social behaviors and interactions. 
Emotional regulation:
Learning to identify and manage emotions like frustration, anger, and disappointment in healthy ways. 
Social problem-solving:
Developing strategies for resolving conflicts peacefully, including identifying different perspectives and finding compromises. 
Interactive activities:
Utilizing games, role-playing scenarios, and group discussions to practice social skills in a fun and engaging way.
