SHANTELL MORENO
Shantell Moreno graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Family Studies. She recently graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. From a young age, Shantell found that she had always had an interest in working with children and began exploring that through education and workplaces.
Shantell first found her interest in working with children while working in a respite center, and then working as a Behavior Technician applying ABA therapy for children and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This interest continues to push her further into gaining more knowledge and experience. Shantell finds that healing can come from forming healthy relationships and attachments to those around you while also exploring underlying feelings. She has found that many modalities can help to achieve this, such as play therapy and art therapy, but continues to further her education in order to reach the needs of the clients she works with.
